Jenny Trafford

Managing Director

I am the co-owner and Managing Director of Careering Options and have led the business since 2002. With 16 years' experience recruiting in the Wellington market, I have strong networks with contractors and senior managers throughout the public sector. My area of specialty is public policy, but I also recruit across a range of other roles.

With a breadth of experience in management roles in public, private and non government organisations I know the importance of having the right people in roles. I enjoy working with clients to fully understand their needs and matching these with contractors who are well suited to deliver successful outcomes.

Liz Doyle

Senior Consultant
I returned to Careering Options in January 2018 and am enjoying using my recruitment knowledge from my experience as a hiring manager and my previous agency experience.
In 2010, after nine years as a Consultant and Manager, specialising in policy, legal and general management roles, I left agency recruitment and held a number of in-house positions in human resources. I have led teams and managed significant change in a range of complex settings. This includes the public and private sectors, not for profits, local government and a global business. Whatever the setting, I particularly enjoy partnering with the business to understand their needs, so I can work with them to deliver the desired results.
A qualified career counsellor, I am interested in individual and organisational development.
I really enjoy matching the right skills and experience to an assignment and enabling a successful outcome for all.
I enjoy cooking for family and friends and am passionate about food and wine. A keen walker, I enter a number of walking events each year.

Sue Sole

Office Manager

As the financial and administrative hub of Careering Options my role is to ensure the smooth running of our office. I draw on a strong background in office administration and enjoy people-focused roles.

Before joining Careering Options, I worked as a tutor at a private training establishment.  I trained people from all walks of life in a range of Microsoft Office applications and got a real buzz out of helping them gain qualifications.  Outside of work I love spending time with my grandchildren and am a keen camper.
